Family History Research

I undertake searching in the Scottish Records that will enable you to be provided with a report or/and receive a Family Tree which will  show all your Ancestors as far back as possible. I can also carry out specific searches on your behalf and look for living descendants of a specific family.

You can restrict the initial amount of work undertaken on your behalf by specifying the amount of time you wish me to work for you.

Initially I will provide you with an estimate for the work you wish carried out at a cost of £20 per hour which includes my travel costs, the research time and the time preparing the reports and other responses. If you require copy certificates and census pages this will be charged to you at cost. UK postal costs are included but overseas costs will of course depend on the size and weight of any package sent to you. If I am unable to locate any family for you your cost will be based on the time spent on the fruitless research normally no more than 1 hour.

You will be sent an invoice at the end of the research or after the specified amount of time has been worked. Payment can be made by UK cheque in £ Sterling or by using the Paypal facility on this website.
